Key Ingredients Research
OMEGA-3
A clinical study on acne patients where serum nutritive levels were examined revealed that decreased levels of omegas were prevalent in the patient population.1 In a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial, after just 5 weeks of omega-3 supplementation participants showed improvements in acne lesions.
VITAMIN D
Research on participants with acne showed that the severity of acne was linked to lower vitamin D levels.3 The outcome of another study evaluating the effects of supplementation on acne inflammation emphasized that vitamin D supports the management of acne.4 In addition, researchers have explained that vitamin D supports immune balance by increasing the production of anti-inflammatory cytokines, which in turn reduces inflammation.
SKIN BRIGHTENING COMPLEX (LUTEIN + ZEAXANTHIN)
In a study with Skin Brightening Complex, supplementation was shown to improve skin tone and theorized to help skin quality by acting as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.
VITAMIN E
One clinical study highlighted vitamin E in a treatment protocol combining oral supplementation and lifestyle recommendations, with notable improvements in skin clearance observed in just 6-8 weeks.7 In addition, scientists observed that the antioxidant properties of Vitamin E combined with other oral supplements contribute to a notable reduction in healing time.
VITAMIN A
Scientists have evaluated antioxidant support from carotenoids, and the photoprotective effects over a period of 12-weeks and observed their ability to protect the skin against UVA radiation.
