What is a Collective Beauty Studio, and how does it differ from a traditional spa?
A Collective Beauty Studio is a shared, open concept space where independent beauty professionals, such as estheticians, run their own businesses while working in a collaborative environment. As a solo facial provider within this space, I manage my own services, schedule, and treatments, while benefiting from a supportive community of like minded professionals. My personal business is designed like a facial bar, featuring a comfortable, modern chair where you can relax and enjoy a personalized facial experience. The studio’s open concept layout creates a welcoming atmosphere that is both convenient and flexible, giving you more control over your appointments compared to a traditional spa setup. It’s a space where you can enjoy high-quality treatments in a tranquil and comfortable environment, making it easier to fit self-care into your busy schedule without sacrificing relaxation or quality.

How should I prepare for my facial?
1. Avoid Heavy Makeup if you're coming in for an Acne Bootcamp Consultation + Treatment. This will allow us to see your skin as it is and give you the best treatment plan for your skin. 2. Skip Exfoliating Products. Avoid using harsh exfoliating products like scrubs, retinol, Retin-A, AHA's, BHA's at least 5 days before your facial. This prevents over-exfoliation and helps your skin maintain its natural balance. 3. Arrive Hydrated Drink plenty of water before your facial. Hydrated skin responds better to treatments, and staying hydrated can help boost the effectiveness of the facial. 4. Avoid Sun Exposure Try to avoid excessive sun exposure for 24-48 hours before your facial. Sunburned or overly sensitive skin may not respond well to certain treatments. 5. Fill out the intake and consent form sent to your email before your facial. This form helps us understand your skin type, any allergies or sensitivities, and any special concerns you may have. It also allows us to tailor the facial to your specific needs and preferences.
What should I expect after my facial?
After your facial, you can expect your skin to feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and glowing, but it’s important to keep in mind a few things: 1. Fresh, Glowing Skin Your skin will likely look radiant and smooth immediately after your facial. Any dullness or dryness will be diminished, and you may notice a healthy glow. 2. Possible Redness or Sensitivity It’s common to experience mild redness or sensitivity, especially if your facial included extractions or stronger exfoliating treatments. This usually subsides within a few hours, so don’t worry—it’s a natural part of the process. 3. Hydrated Skin Depending on the treatment, your skin will feel well hydrated and plump. If your facial focused on deep hydration, you might notice softer, more supple skin. 4. Breakouts (In Some Cases) If you’ve had extractions or if your skin was purged during the facial, you might experience a few small breakouts in the days following the treatment. This is a sign that your skin is clearing out impurities and should settle soon. 5. Continued Results While you’ll see immediate results, the full benefits of your facial may continue to improve over the next 2-3 days. Your skin will continue to renew, and you'll enjoy smoother texture, brighter tone, and a more even complexion. 6. Post-Treatment Care For the best results, avoid sun exposure and refrain from using harsh skincare products for the first 24-48 hours. We recommend using gentle, hydrating products and always applying sunscreen to protect your skin. Remember, everyone’s skin is different, so the experience and after-effects may vary. If you have any concerns or notice anything unusual, don’t hesitate to reach out to us for advice.
